We take the time to understand how each student learns best, and one-to-one attention develops confidence and hope for the future. We provide a wide range of services, including academic coaching, tutoring, test preparation, Learning Style™ profiles & homeschool support.
KNOWING HOW YOU LEARN CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
Most of us growing up in the United States attended schools grounded in the traditional educational model. This model perpetuates the myth that there is only one way to learn information and that all human beings learn in exactly the same way. Children who cannot learn in this system are labeled “slow learners” or “unmotivated”. In contrast, Zoeller & Associates promotes the Learning Style education model as a positive, developmental approach which recognizes that each person has a unique and natural “learning style”. Emphasis is placed on how each student learns and the natural talents and gifts each student possesses. Created by educators Mariaemma Pelullo-Willis, M.S. and Victoria Kindle Hodson, M.A. of the Learning Success Institute in Ventura, California, the Self-Portrait™ Learning Style Assessment System starts the students on a path of self-discovery, during which they develop an understanding of how they learn and are empowered to take charge of their own learning process. Their increased confidence allows students to rediscover the passion and joy of learning which is inherent in all of us.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
ONE-TO-ONE
We work one-to-one with students, tailoring individual learning plans based on learning style. Unlike some other educational programs, students will always work with the same person, allowing us to create a safe, nurturing environment.
FLEXIBLE
We do not force you into set courses or number of sessions but are flexible with times and days, allowing you to work out a schedule that considers everything you need to do. We can also arrange home and ZOOM visits if necessary.
TEAM MEMBER
We consider ourselves a team member with parents, teachers, and other school educators and are available to meet for school visits and IEP meetings to help ensure a successful school experience for your student.

Carol Zoeller, PhD
FOUNDER
Carol holds a Ph.D. in special education and psychology from UCLA and a Master’s degree from Purdue University. She has an extensive background in special education curriculum and child development. Carol has taught graduate level university courses in education for the past 20 years and has over 30 years of experience as a teacher and administrator in public and private schools. Dr. Zoeller also holds five lifetime credentials in standard and special education, teaching, and administration.

Jennifer Zoeller, PhD
ACADEMIC COACH
Jennifer holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Irvine. She has over 25 years of experience working with children and adults with special educational needs. She is a level III consultant with the Learning Success Institute in Ventura, Ca. Her specialties include: college test preparation, anxiety/stress reduction techniques, and learning style assessments.

Anna Walker, MBA
ACADEMIC COACH
Anna holds an MBA from Cal Poly and a BS in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. She has over 30 years of experience at Pasadena City College developing program curriculum and educating students with special needs, and is a member of The Association of Educational Therapists (AET). Her specialties include: elementary academic support, reading and phoenetical awareness, and high school entrance test preparation.
